I worked with Marie at the Cancer Fund when I first arrived in Hong Kong. Marie helped guide me through not only my role within the NGO but also the cultural and geographical difference that make up such a diverse city as Hong Kong. Marie is an excellent Project and Operations guru and has the ability to juggle many tasks at the same time whilst ensuring that everything is on time and in budget, especially with large events such as the Cancer Fund’s Party for a Purpose. It was always a pleasure working with Marie and I hope that one day we will have the opportunity to do so again.

Marie has a natural talent for managing busy, demanding teams and resources, and is an excellent Project Manager. With several large clients to service Marie made sure that our resources were prioritized, on-time and the output was always to a high quality. Marie has a natural talent for ensuring high-standards of work, and mentoring more junior members of the team to ensure we get it right first time, every time, and that we are constantly looking for new way to add value to everything that we do,

The Hong Kong Cancer Fund (HKCF) is Hong Kong’s largest cancer support organisation providing free professional support and information to anyone touched by cancer to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. HKCF relies on donations from companies and individuals and does not receive any government funding or donations from the Community Chest. As Marketing Consultant, I have a direct reporting line to the Founder and Chief Executive. I am responsible for developing and implementing strategies and execution of marketing and fundraising initiatives. This includes traditional and digital marketing campaigns, appeal letters, funding proposals and events. I had an integral role with the rebranding of the website and work alongside the MarComms teams for TVCs and KVs for public education materials such as breast cancer awareness, colorectal cancer, etc as well as funding campaigns such as our annual fundraising hike and yearly gala. I've also recently been involved with looking at a new CRM system for the company.

Enlighten-Action for Epilepsy was a Hong Kong based epilepsy-focused, non-medical charity. It benefited anyone affected by epilepsy. They ran a range of complimentary, bi-lingual epilepsy-focused programmes to meet the charity’s objectives of raising epilepsy awareness in Hong Kong and supporting those affected by epilepsy and helping improve their quality of their lives. As Marketing Consultant, I led general fundraising activities, including new initiatives and creation of corporate fundraising proposals, digital marketing campaigns and building the database to create effective communications with donors and corporate sponsors.I was also responsible for organising and managing the annual fundraising gala dinner. This involved identifying and contacting suitable donors to source prizes for the silent auction whilst ensuring diversity of items. I was the key point of contact with the production partners to cover all aspects of the event as well as the main coordinator for all volunteers and staff during the evening.
