I am so grateful and excited to have had the privilege to join Dr LOWENSTEIN's team as a member of the scientific committee of SOS ADDICTION. I’m a dual citizen who studied addiction counseling in California, where I lived for almost 15 years before returning to France in 2009 where I work in Cannes (French Riviera). I worked in Los Angeles between 1995 and 2008 as a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor both in rehabs and in private practice, always under the supervision of Michael Topp, LMFT. I was also the CEO of an after care program in Malibu and a center for spiritual retreats. I was fortunate enough in 1996 to become an interventionist under Ed Storti’s supervision in the field of addictions. Returning home or at work can be a difficult transition for someone newly sober. I still to this day do interventions and work with sober companions. Learning with mentors such as Melody Beattie, John Bradshaw Patrick Carnes and Harville Hendrix taught me the importance of treating the family as well as the addict. I have formed a team of motivated and recovered professionals, completely bilingual (French-English) and all personally concerned with addiction, whether it is associated with substances or behaviors. I currently offer a four month program for individuals that are either coming back home from rehab and/or don’t wish to “change seats on the Titanic” and go (or return) to rehab. 2023 will be filled with exciting and impactful events such as webinars on the themes of: “Intimacy and recovery” (With Magali CROSET CALISTO) “Recover and sleep peacefully “ (With Dr Robin JOUAN) And a convention in October 2023, that we are brainstorming as we speak, with Dr William LOWENSTEIN and other clinicians on the theme of RECOVERY. A new drug rehabilitation and addiction treatment program has been launched by All Ways Recovery. The Polychrome Program focuses on participants’ emotional growth using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.“We believe in presenting many options for recovery and in combining several techniques to help our clients get the most out of their experience,” says Marie-Dorée Lambert, C.C.D.C., C.H., Executive Director of All Ways Recovery. “Our success comes from the wide variety of cutting edge solutions and finding the therapeutic path that is right for the individual. Our treatment focuses on the emotional growth of the patient, whose previous answer was alcohol and drug use. Improving their personal awareness and relationships, clients increase their self-esteem, confidence and communication skills.”The Polychrome Program is an intensive five week program structured around four goals: awareness, awakening, schema change and experimenting with change. Each goal meets a specific attainable objective and is clearly defined and measurable. This unique program is the backbone of a comprehensive behavioral modification program, and fits easily with other therapeutic programs. Already, participating drug rehabilitation patients from the Pasadena Recovery Center are being shuttled to one of All Ways Recovery’s centers for addiction treatment.“We are thrilled to be of service to the clients who choose to participate in the Polychrome Program at All Ways Recovery,” says Sam Usher, Director of the Pasadena Recovery Center (PRC). PRC is offering shuttle van service for patients every Tuesday and Thursday to one of All Ways Recovery’s centers. The Polychrome Program includes unique measurement tools, including sociometric tests, client self-reports, and therapists and staff evaluations. The program is expected to be under study shortly at UCLA. Show less
