The Industrial PhD is an collaboration between Vattenfall Vindkraft A/S in Kolding and Department of Energy Technology at Aalborg University. The project has a time frame of 3 years and the overall subject is wind turbines in cold climate.

For my industrial Phd I was abroad as a visiting researcher at TechnoCentre éolien in Gaspé in the province of Quebec, Canada. The purpose of my visit was to establish a data-set for validation purposes for my models of ice accretion on objects. I want to thank TechnoCentre éoilen for welcoming me in Gaspé! The internship at Vattenfall Wind Power in Fredricia in the R&D department. The intersnhip took place duing my 9th semester. During the intership I was working with analysis and modellíng of ice accretion on wind turbines. The main topic was CFD modelling of oce accretion.

Advanced CFD Training

In Marts 2013 I attended a one week training course in the CFD code FENSAP-ICE. The training tool place at the main office at Newmerical Technologies in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The aim of the training was to get experience with the CFD code and the modelling of ice accretion on wings, which I will use in my Master Thesis.
