Zelmerlöw & Björkman Foundation is a fundraising foundation that empowers vulnerable youths in parts of Africa from one of isolation and poverty to employment and independence. This happens through education and entrepreneurship. Together with local partners they identify exposed young people in the townships and help them find their talents and get an education to give them hope for a future. As event manager at the foundation I plan and produce all the fundraising events for the foundation including the yearly Zelmerlöw & Björkman Invitational event. This event includes an invitational padel/tennis competition for women and men during the day and a gala auction dinner during the evening for 500 invited guests. The guests enjoy an evening filled with updates from the organization, perfomances by famous artist performing pro bono and a professional live auction led by Peder Lamm. The evening is hosted by the two founders of the foundation, famous Swedish artist Måns Zelmerlöw and former Swedish professional tennis player Jonas Björkman. Show less

ÅF Offshore Race is organized by KSSS - Royal Swedish Yacht Club, one of Sweden's leading sailing clubs. It is one of the largest annual offshore sailing races in the world with almost 300 boats on the start list. The race starts from the waters in the city center of Stockholm, just in front of the Royal castle. The boats then sail through the beautiful Stockholm Archipelago and enter into the open Baltic sea heading to round the island of Gotland and finishes at the classic sailing arena in Sandhamn. The boats congregate in central Stockholm, just off Skeppsholmen, three days before the start of the race for preparations and events. The event has evolved over the past few years to become a popular spectacle, which attracts 100,000 people. Visitors join the fun in the race village at Skeppsholmen and watch the start of the race for free from the city shores. This year's event program included something for everyone. Family fun opportunities to try sailing, laser shooting, segways or jumping on inflatables. The event area had a variety of food and drinks with a backdrop of live music and stage performances offering pop, soul, funk and blues. We also had an extensive hospitality program for our partners. We also organised a welcome program for the participants and partners at the finish in Sandhamn, a classic sailing arena situated on an island in the outskirts of the Stockholm Archipelago. Including a welcome after-sail, prize-giving and regatta dinner. Show less

    • Senior Project Manager - Legends Race & Gothenburg Hospitality manager - Volvo Ocean Race 2018
      • Mar 2017 - Aug 2018

The Volvo Ocean Race today The Ocean Race is a global around the world off-shore sailing race that goes on for 10 months with stopovers around the world. It is often described as the longest and toughest professional sporting event in the world and sailing’s toughest team challenge. The race history started in 1973 and the race was then called The Whitbread Round the World Race. The race has since the start evolved into a professional race and a successful commercial platform for partners and sponsors. During The Volvo Ocean Race 2017/18 a parallel race was organized between the Gothenburg stopover port to the port of The Hague, the final destination of the race. This race called the The Legends Race gathered 12 Legendary boats from seven of the 13 historical round the world races since 1973. The first time that a mixed fleet of veteran racers has undertaken an offshore race. The race turned out to be a really successful and tough race with southern ocean sea conditions outside the coast of Denmark. 11 of the 12 boats managed to finish the race and was welcomed by the crowds in The Hague. In the ports of Gothenburg and The Hague we also organized public events such as a guest-on board program and a parade of sails. In The Hague a prize-giving event was held where the Sir Peter Blake trophy was awarded to the winning team. As project manager I led the full project from start to end with marketing, communications, entries, race management, events, branding and staff. A great demanding, complex and international project. At the Gothenburg stopover I also managed the hospitality program for the Host City of Gothenburg and ran the programs in the Host city hospitality and seminar pavilions including staff and volunteer planning and catering. KSSS (The Royal Swedish Yacht Club) is one of the oldest and largest yacht clubs in the world with 5000 members. The club is based with facilities in Saltsjöbaden outside Stockholm and also has facilities in three other locations in the archipelago. These facilities include two islands for summer camps and three harbors to manage. The club also owns 150 boats, sailing yachts and motor yachts, that are actively used in the different parts of the organization - training, elite sailors, camps, regattas and harbors. A logistical puzzle and service management through the year. As facility and boat manager I managed all the KSSS facilities and boats and a service team that included a staff of five full time employees and about 30 part time harbor employees. This also included budget responsibility for the clubs boat and facility committees, about a third of the clubs total economy. Before this role I worked with the clubs accounting and as member manager. I was also involved at our regattas and our camps for children during the sailing season and with the yacht clubs organization during the VOR stopover in Stockholm. For a interim period 2012-13 I had the role as acting CEO of KSSS. Show less
