    • Project and Site Manager in Berlin Neukölln
      • May 2019 - Jun 2021

After a year of working for bildungsmarkt vulkan & waldenser GmbH I was offered the position of site manager of their office in Berlin-Neukölln. With that I am responsible not solely for the site but also all of the projects (6) and the employees working there. I am also responsible for the visibility of the projects and their success as well as the acquisition of future projects. The projects are again government funded. The main aim is to motivate and educate young people (under 25) to successfully enter into a job/internship while at the same time motivating enough preferably Neukölln based firms to give the participants a chance and help both sides reach successful business relationships. • Promoting and Selling chocolate
      • Mar 2018 - Jun 2021

Promoting the Munich-Ghana based start up in Berlin. The chocolate convinces not just with its taste, but the way it is being made. In a world that is getting more conscious about where food is coming from and how it is being produced, this start up chose to become a real game changer and creating a value added product. To promote this product isn't just about the product but about a new way of thinking on how to successfully and sustainably create, sell and consume products that by nature have to be imported. For Fairafric I promoted the chocolate in shops and at fairs, I spoke to costumers, was able to convince them to try the chocolate and often to buy a bar. Throughout this promotion I did not just try to convince people to taste it but rather to think differently about the chocolate products they were choosing and why. Even though this was freelance promotional work I strongly identified with the product and the start up team behind it and was able to convey this while selling the chocolate. Through this experience I learned that I am extremely skilled at promoting products that I am convinced of and persuade others to buy and enjoy them too. I managed to acquire many first time consumers but also to win some consumers for the long-run. Show less

    • Project Manager in a Civic/Social Organization

The projects are part of a government funded program to help migrants, regardless of their background, to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to be integratable on the German labour market. My task is it to monitor, support, adjust, develop and implement the projects main aims and objectives, monitoring the participation of the migrants in this program and hiring, coordinating and monitoring the teams responsible for the 8 projects in three different districts of Berlin. Apart from the projects for migrants I also monitor a government funded program that directly establishes a relationship with big companies in the Berlin area to involve them in a mentoring program for young professionals doing an apprenticeship with them or another company in the sector. My tasks involve contacting and convincing the companies of the program, as well as finding suitable candidates as mentors and mentees Show less

    • Project Coordinator for refugee and neighborhood work
      • Oct 2016 - Dec 2017

The job is part of a government-funded plan to support small districts with the adjustment to the new challenges and changes that the great numbers of refugees brought with them in 2015. My job is it to help refugees and neighbors alike to adapt to their new situations, help them to understand each other, remove both communicative as well as psychological barriers between the two sides and unite them to create a new living, breathing and developing community. It is extremely important in this job to listen, to understand, act and gain the trust of both, refugees and neighbors. This is the only way the first few steps into the new integrative community could have been taken. Other tasks include: • writing and execution concepts • using different channels of communication for different groups • developing an open listening approach to all sides of the discussion (particularly important in a predominate poorer district, where many people feel left out, lost and forgotten) • planning and organizing of events of different sizes and with different amounts of support (financial or otherwise) • organizing and leading volunteers • networking with other civic/social organizations and associations • creating new networks • attending training classes on the topic of immigration, integration, racism and more • learning Arabic • managing different complaints and requests • motivating and organizing others to volunteer • translating and interpreting from and into various languages Show less
