I have a strong interest in humanitarian work and global justice – through that I became involved with SUAS in 2017 and took part in the 8x8 festival. In 2017 SUAS (which focus on childhood education in low socioeconomic areas) began to establish their sister not-for-profit which is called STAND - it focuses on global issues and social justice. In 2018 I helped set up the very first STAND society in Ireland in DCU which is dedicated to engaging young people and students to voice their opinions on global issues and raise awareness of social injustices that occur every day - we aim to make a positive change in the world at large. We are currently setting up a volunteer children’s silent book club with Balseskin reception centre in Dublin. I contribute regularly to STAND News which is available at STAND.ie. Show less
