Bio
Wally Elton
When I became executive director of the Upper Valley Trails Alliance, one of my first tasks was to begin implementing a large, multi-year grant that would transform the organization in several ways. To do that, I needed an assistant director with the ability to take on multiple projects and move them forward with considerable independence. Marianna proved to be just the person for the job. Marianna has the ability to grasp the needs of a project quickly and move ahead without continuous oversight, yet also knows when to ask questions or seek clarification. She is bright, picks up "the message" readily even when working in a somewhat unfamiliar field, has good ideas, is level-headed yet enthusiastic about causes in which she engages, is able to work with people effectively, and has a good sense of humor. In addition, she is a good writer and editor, speaks well, and was able to help me improve my own technological skills. In brief, Marianna was a vital contributor to the success of the organization while she was on the staff.
Julia Brennan
Marianna has been instrumental in transforming our library into a state-of-the art, 21st Century facility that integrates the best features of a traditional library with contemporary technology and student-focused design. Marianna played a key role in planning our beautiful new space which opened in 2014 and in updating and implementing digital technology and web-based resources. A talented and collaborative colleague, it is a pleasure to recommend Marianna.
