Last project implemented at Ford Motor Company - Ford Ranger Exports I acted as IT Team Leader in the implementation of a new business process to support the export of vehicles to Australia, Eastern Europe and Northern Africa. The system implemented covers the complete Order-to-Delivery process from receiving orders from the Global Ford ordering System to shipment of the point of Retail to the end customer. Local systems were enhanced to ensure the following processes would still run successfully: · Part release instructions to the suppliers (Global and Local), · Vehicle Tracking, · Pricing and Invoicing, · Custom clearance documentation for the Freight Forwarder, · Delivery instructions to the haulage companies, · Booking of the vehicles on vessels and receiving delivery confirmation instructions from the Haulage companies and SA Ports Authorities.
