Currently, I am a Digital Marketer and Content Writer at Click Me, a subsidiary of National Debt Advisors - South Africa's second largest debt counselling firm. My current role is mainly to write SEO copy for our website, as well as a couple of affiliates' sites, and run social media campaigns. Additionally, I handle all the copy for various other digital campaigns, such as SMS and email marketing, writing scripts for Voice Broadcasting (VB) campaigns, and writing press releases. At present, Mixing It Up with Mariana_Minx is a creatives and culture show, with the spotlight on up and coming artists, and a distinct focus on people of colour. Mixing It Up with Mariana_Minx features creatives in various forms - from photographers and videographers, to stylists, bloggers, actors, spoken word artists, the list goes on and on. The show aims to give up and coming artists a platform to share their art with our listeners, and also to allow underground artists the opportunity to be acknowledged, as they might not get that recognition from commercial stations. My role at CapeTownMagazine.com was that of a senior nature, where I handled all client content, trained new staff and edited interns' articles. Some of the client accounts that I managed included Aquila Safari, Akademie Boutique Hotel, Byblos Trading Co., and Ajeless Africa. Apart from client content, I also headed up a project called New Place, where I sourced and reviewed new places (which varied from restaurants to galleries, bars, play parks and everything in between) in and around Cape Town. A large part of this section was attending media launches and events, and then sharing those experiences with our readers.
