  Entered data from low-income minority families in the College Park area in order to analyze the effects of parenting styles on the child’s growth and development. In addition to data entry, I also played a role in coding recorded child-parent interactions to quantify the progression of the child's emotion socialization development. The coding scheme used for these parent-child interactions specified the category and intensity of child and parent affects. This data was then analyzed to determine how various literacy practices, home environments, parent-child dynamics, and other socioeconomic factors influence child development. Show less
