  Founded in 1972 by the artist and his wife Vana Caruso, the activities of the Giulio Turcato Archive have, from the beginning, focused on the research, preservation and advancement of the artist’s work. Since Giulio Turcato passed away, the heirs have maintained its original aims while consolidating and expanding its mandate: • Research: the archive records the artist’s production with the aim of creating the catalogue raisonné of his work (see below for details). This will allow for an in-depth analysis of the artist’s language and the identification of the most important nuclei of his work. • Preservation: works that have not yet been included in the archival records are registered with the release of certificates for the works that can be attributed to the artist (see below for more information on the archiving procedures). This activity is performed in collaboration with the authorities responsible for the national cultural heritage. • Advancement: the archives highlight the lesser-known aspects of Turcato’s artistic production by organising exhibitions, conferences, etc. dedicated to his work.
