Graduate internship
-
Sep 2009 - Mar 2012
During my internship, I have carried out the following studies: - Study of the antiproliferative effects of carnosine on cells of colorectal carcinoma HCT116. Carnosine is a dipeptide widely distributed in the brain, kidney, stomach and especially in skeletal muscle. Recent studies have shown that carnosine has an important antitumor function in addition to having antioxidant properties, anti-aging, antiglicosilante, neuroprotective and photoprotective. - Study photoprotective action of natural antioxidants against DNA damage caused by exposure to ultraviolet radiation UVB through the technique of real-time PCR and comet assay.
