NAV Portugal has, as ENAIRE associated member, participated in 31 projects of SESAR 1 program, that ended in Dec.2016 and is now participating, also as ENAIRE linked third party, in 7 projects of SESAR 2020. As part of the Single European Sky initiative, SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) represents its technological dimension. The SESAR programme will give Europe a high-performance air traffic control infrastructure which will enable the safe and environmentally friendly development of air transport. SESAR aims to eliminate the fragmented approach to European ATM, transform the ATM system, synchronize all stakeholders and federate resources. For the first time, all aviation players are involved in the definition, development and deployment of a pan-European modernization project. SESAR aims at developing the new generation air traffic management system capable of ensuring the safety and fluidity of air transport worldwide over the next 30 years. Financial management, control and report of NAV pt participation in other international CNS and ATM projects (eg. ICATS, IDP ANSP, IDSG, RISE, PCP, eTOD, Data Link, SWIM). Financial and Administrative bidding proposals preparation, specially those involving air traffic management and CNS systems activities under the SESAR Pilot Common Projects and EU objectives.
