      I was Employed initially to assist the company set up a Quality Management System to achieve ISO 9001 Certification. I had established a Quality Management System, Quality procedures, processes and Quality documents required to meet the standard within 6 months and the company underwent a stage 1 audit in March 2021 which it passed with flying colours. This led to a stage 2 audit being scheduled for June 2021. The company was awarded ISO 9001 Certification. I now work part time for the company managing the Quality Management system, implementing improvements to the system and updating the necessary documentation as and when required. I also assist my work colleagues in managing health,safety and environmental requirements and other tasks delegated to me by top management. I throughly enjoy working for the company and my role brings me great satisfaction. Show less

      While working for BAM my roles and responsibilities involve: Drafting the Construction Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Environment Management Plan, Waste Management Plan and Contractor's Communication Plan for an Irish Water Project, as well as setting up a BIM360 and Sharepoint document management for the project. When I worked on the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy Road Project my roles and responsibilities involved: Ensure the implementation of the project quality system on the project. Advise and report regularly to the Project Manager on quality matters. Maintain quality awareness within the project. Ensure the quality system documentation are maintained in accordance with Project and ISO 9001 requirements. Liaise with representatives of suppliers and subcontractors on quality matters, as applicable. Participate in, and carry out audits and assessments of Suppliers and Subcontractors.       Job title: Service Technician part of resource team I assisted in the annual service of a Bonus B62 1.3MW Turbine. I prepared the tool bags for the service and obtained the consumables bag which one of the technician’s had already prepared. The service involved climbing 57 metres to the nacelle operating the crane hoist to hoist up the crane bags containing tools, equipment and components for the service, carrying out tasks such as cleaning the slip rings, changing grease cartridges on the self greasers, checking operation of the self greasers, changing the in line filter, toping up the hydraulic station with hydraulic oil and manually greasing other components. I also assisted in rectifying two break downs, one breakdown involved changing an encoder which controls the pitch of the blades and calibrating it once it was fitted. The other breakdown involved changing a 116 valve in the hub. I uploaded all the monthly maintenance reports onto the office computer for the months of December 2012 to 28 February 2013 before I finished working on site on the Friday. Show less

      As a Competent Person my role was to assist the CT and AT’s in scheduled and non scheduled maintainence on 18 Acciona 1.5mw turbines. I assisted in replacing a pitch position sensor in the hub,and then observed as the AE calibrated the new sensor. I assisted in carrying out bolt stretching on the outer fondation bolts to 100% on 14 out of the 18 turbines. On the two days the grid was switched off for work to be carried out in the sub station, I carried out a number of retro fits (passive crowbar modification) under supervision from an AE,AT and CT proving the LV apparatus dead before fiting the unit ,I also assisted one of the AT’s in getting 9 of the turbines up and running again when the grid connection was brought back on line. I assisted in rectifying brakedowns and replacement of various components including yaw brake pads ,resealing yaw calipers and repacing two general accumulators and regasing the accumulators with nitrogen gas. I also ensured that a stock of 9 nitrogen bottles was kept on site by traveling to BOC Gas in Gragemouth to obtain full cylinders when the stock was getting low.I had the use of an L200 when working at Green Knowes and carried out vehicle safety checks each week and got the vehicle serviced and tyres fitted to ensure it was safe to drive at all times. I also kept the stores in order and ensured all tools bags were in order every day. I assisted in administration duties as well as learning the wind turbine safety rules version 3,HV boundary points for the Acciona turbine and assisted the CT on site revise for his AT exam.       Carrying out a Type 1 service on the N60 turbines in accordance to the AWP,which involved changing filters, gearbox inspection,greaseing bearings, carrying out shaft alignment, torqueing of various bolts, visual inspection of various components of the turbine, torqueing of the electrical cables in the top and bottom cabinets, after they where proved dead. Replacing of faulty light fittings, reporting any issues with the ladder, latch way system and the lift. Fitting of retrofit safety guards. I also was given the task of fixing all information and safety signage to the interior and exterior of the turbine and ensuring all first aid kits where in date. I also accessed the hub on an n80 while I was located on crystal rig wind farm for a day. During my last 2 week I assisted the site manager with the progress reports, I recorded and carried out safety checks on all plant on site e.g. tow able generators, I also insured all persons working on the turbines had carried out a safety check on their PPE and filled in the documentation for the check. I communicated with the Nordex service technicians, Windtex and Barton’s to inform the site manager of the progress on site as well as inquiring if there were any issues and if component where to be ordered. I also assisted with all paper work and assisted the AT with SAP reports. Show less
