  I work to support and strengthen grassroots advocacy organizations around the country by providing training, coaching, and technical assistance to organizations in the field on leadership development, board relations, financial oversight, operations, program development and implementation, cultural competence, strategic planning, among other key organizational capacity areas.As the educational learning lead for NAMI’s Field Advancement Team, I design and conduct training opportunities that fit the needs of leaders around the country. Whether online or in-person, I design training programs focused on the immediate application of the training's content in order to instill confidence in the learners.Additionally, I dedicate time to developing and managing partnerships with organizations that have local chapters who could work with NAMI's State and Affiliate organizations in order to advance mental health awareness, treatment and support.

  Lead the development and implementation of NAMI’s multicultural programmatic efforts including planning, budget, administrative, and performance oversight for NAMI's Multicultural Action Center (www.nami.org/multicultural). Focuses on increasing public mental health education and awareness and on making NAMI a more diverse and inclusive organization.To advance multicultural mental health, developed and implemented the national campaign for National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month (NMMHAM). Furthermore, authored, implemented, and evaluated programs including Sharing Hope and Compartiendo Esperanza, hour-long mental health education and awareness programs for African American and Latino communities.
