Veselin Fustar
I was honored to take several classes of Spanish with Maria at UNAM Gatineau( a prestigious Mexican University with its extension in Canada). It doesn't take long before noticing that Maria has a God-given talent for teaching and that she absolutely loves her job. Her methods of teaching are highly skillful and never boring. The homework that she is assigning is very helpful and if you are doing the homework, you are almost guaranteed to succeed. her dedication to students is not 100%, it is 300%. If something is not clear, she won't stop explaining in an alternative(easier) way until she makes sure that student understands the matter in question. She easily adapts to every students' level of learning and is patiently helping them make quick progress if they have some difficulties. Her classes start immediately as she enters the class and she doesn't stop teaching until the last second of the class! And somehow, she is able to make that every second of teaching dynamic and interesting! She is probably the only professor that can do that. Personally, I would never reach the level of Spanish that I have reached if it wasn't for her great pedagogical skills. Apart from being great professor, she is a very positive and down to earth person. Her general knowledge of other subjects and matters is also at a very high level, which for me personally is of crucial importance in separating somebody who's very good in what they're doing from somebody who's brilliant!!

During my Spanish classes with Maria at UNAM, I have been able to make a lot of progress in a short period of time. Maria is a skilled teacher who puts a lot of attention on details, which is very helpful to prevent doing mistakes in learning a new languages. Following my classes at UNAM, I continued taking private Spanish lessons with Maria, which helped me even further. She quickly identified where I had to focus in order to improve. I strongly recommend Maria as a Spanish teacher.
