Expert in neurodegeneration, synaptic cellular signaling networks and bioenergetics - Models: Primary mouse cortical and striatal neuron cultures, fresh/frozen mouse tissue preparations and freshly isolated nerve terminals (synaptosomes) - Methods: standard in vitro cellular assay, microscopy, contracted proteomics and neuronal cultures grown in microfluidic devices to fluidically isolate cell bodies from axons - Project management and continuous development of a 4 year research project, incl. planning of experimental studies, implementation and optimization of new techniques, data collection, statistical analysis and deduction of scientific conclusion - Key stakeholder and responsible for networking and interdisciplinary collaboration with scientists and experts in the industry incl. Lundbeck, Danish Dementia Research Centre (Rigshospitalet) and Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research.
