      As a Project Intern, I worked in a team with four other students to organize a panel discussion held in association with Code Blue Campaign, the Trudeau Centre for Peace, Conflict, and Justice, and the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. This event was held on March 22, 2019 at the Munk School and was a moderated panel discussion which considered the question of whether Canada is doing enough to address the UN peacekeeper sexual abuse crisis. The panel consisted of Major (Retired) Dr. Karen Breeck, who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Royal Canadian Medical Service physician for twenty years; Kaila Mintz, Coordinator for the Code Blue Campaign at AIDS-Free World; and Sandra Biskupski-Mujanovic, a PhD candidate at Western University specializing in transitional justice and post-conflict reconstruction. The panel was moderated by Gerald Barebbe, a PCJ Fellow and PhD candidate studying the military and post-conflict reconstruction in Rwanda and Uganda. AIDS-Free World's Code Blue Campaign strives to end to impunity for sexual abuse by UN personnel. AIDS-Free World ​is an international advocacy organization that exposes injustice, abuse, and inequality.
