I have always enjoyed my time around kids. Therefore when I was invited by one of my former catechism teachers to join the Catechetical Ministry I was so pumped. I had to go through the syllabus again as it has been awhile since I was in catechism but it all came back really quick. I was appointed to teach the Standard 5 class. I not only built relationships with the students but with the parents as well by giving them updates on their children every month and having conversations with them. I also share pictures and videos of the students participating in fun activities and during parent-teacher day. I come up with fun ways to to share my knowledge of the Lord with my students by using power point slides instead of reading from a book. I also include fun games like Kahoot to get the students more involved in class. I learnt that every child is different and needs a specific approach. I have also learnt to be patient and understanding towards my students. This job has helped me develop my leadership and teaching skills. Can't wait to see what the future holds for these students! • Event Coordinator
      • Oct 2021 - Dec 2021

At Sweettooth I learnt how to make balloon arches and set up events spaces. I was lucky enough to be involved in many events that helped me gain some skills thanks to my amazing boss Apple. I did birthday parties, baby showers, gender reveals, weddings, tea ceremonies, and proposals. I also learnt how to make various balloon bunches. I was also exposed to different kinds of balloons and how to properly handle them. I learnt how an event is planned from start to end. From the consultation with the customer, to designing the event layout, to planning the colors and sculptures, to the preparation, to the set up, all the way to the taking down of the event layout. While I was an employee at HiiDay Breakfast and Cafe, I have acquired some new skills. Patience when dealing with customers would be one of them. I had also developed the ability to respond rapidly to any scenario. I also further improved my problem solving skills. Since it was a small establishment, there was shortage of personnel, I had to learn how to multitask and work as efficiently as possible. I had the opportunity to learn and experience everything from greeting customers as the entered the cafe, seating them at their tables, taking their orders, all the way to serving customers their food, helping customers at the check out, and cleaning up their tables when they are done. My co-worker and I worked well together as both had a system going and know what our next step would be. We would often get praises and compliments customers because of our efficiency and politeness. • Jan 2015 - Nov 2019

I've been dancing since I was out of diapers. I've done Latin dance, ballroom dancing, ballet, street, Jazz, traditional, cultural, and Hip-Hop. When I was in secondary school I decided to join the school dance team. Over the years we participated in countless competitions and won many prizes. We often performed for the school when there are events. Other schools look up to our dance team as we have won many awards for our amazing performances. Ever since, I've learnt that teamwork is crucial to reach perfection. Everyone has to put in their all in order for the team to reach fabulous results. Show less
