I'm am the Legal Consulting Officer inside the "InHerShoes" project under the Women's Rights Department. I am responsible for coordinating and coming up with different projects that deal with the legal side of women's rights. In addition, I also work in the project called "Legal Corner" as a Project Officer, dedicating myself to the creation of content and projects aimed at the Rights of Children and Adolescents, education in sexual and reproductive health and the prevention of school violence and bullying. Politics4Her is a feminist blog & youth-led movement composed of ambassadors, guest writers and volunteers. Its name, Politics4her, emphasizes the importance of women to understand that politics do include her and does not need to be dominated by men. It is a platform for the inclusion of women in leadership positions. The main thematics Politics4Her deals with are international affairs, international law, political science, diplomacy, feminism. Faced with the Brazilian and worldwide scenario of the spread of coronavirus, I was selected, along with others lawyers and students, to act on an emergency basis in guaranteeing the rights of the incarcerated individuals, who have restricted rights and imminent risks to health and life itself. Through this Pro Bono Institute initiative in partnership with Public Defender’s Office, I worked together with another lawyer in digital cases of provisional detainees drafting habeas corpus and requests for reconsideration of decision, relaxation of imprisonment or provisional release and substitution by precautionary measures other than prison.
