Paying homage to the original Strand Magazine that was founded in 1891 and discontinued in 1950, it was independently founded by Samuel Antonio Turner in January 2017, establishing itself as one of London's most active student publications.   Engaging with local activists and council members in the Newham/Stratford area to talk about sustainable building schemes and affordable housing. Collaborating with artists and using waste by-product to make building materials. Using these conversations as a starting point to actually learn how to make bricks and build a kiln.
