I have known Maria since the beginning of our graduate career (August 2015). During this time, we shared seminar and two graduate courses together. As classmates, I can attest Maria as a hard-working, efficient, and intelligent student. Throughout our career, I witnessed Maria working hard and spending many hours synthesizing her molecules in the organic lab. This truly shows as she was the first to complete her experiments and dissertation writing from our Class of 2015 PhD en route chemistry students. Along with her expertise in organic chemistry and experience in laboratory settings, Maria is becoming an excellent teacher.
