I have known Maria for nearly 20 years. She has always impressed me as a person of great integrity, high intellect, and kind heart: a rare combination. Her interests are broad and varied, from law and ethics to yoga and mindfulness, but she approaches each with passion and mastery. I've taken her online yoga and mindfulness classes and always marvel at the skillful way she interweaves poetry and philosophy into her lessons. She is truly a renaissance woman, being an attorney, a CPA, an accomplished pianist, a certified yoga instructor, and a mom who homeschooled her two children for several years. Her kindness and ability to really listen make her a great friend, and her curiosity and persistence make her a good learner who can accomplish anything she puts her mind to. I am proud to count her as my friend.
