Founding 4th Grade and 5th Grade Math Teacher, Grade Level Chair
-
Jun 2015 - Present
As a teacher at Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP), I founded the first class of 4th graders at RMP's original campus. I then moved up the following year to found the first class of 5th graders and pilot a departmentalized model. As the 5th grade math teacher, I successfully developed and implemented math curriculum that led to students outperforming Denver Public Schools by over 28% on the state test. I have also been the 5th grade Grade Level Chair, where I work with school leadership to develop school-wide strategies and problem-solve any existing issues.
