  As a waitress, I had the opportunity to learn a lot regarding customer handling and self-organisation. Indeed, being the head waitress, I was responsible of dealing with customers and solve problems when necessary. Moreover, I learnt how to manage time and pressure: working in a restaurant can be stressful mainly when the place is full and dishes are ready to be served. This job taught me a lot regarding how to work in stressful situations, how to deal with unsatisfied or difficult clients and how to efficiently manage my time.

  As general manager of the Italian Promo Team, my main responsibility is to lead an enthusiastic team of Italian students whose aim is to promote NHL Stenden in Italy. The job mainly consists of organising events, such as promotional fairs, establishing and maintaining a contact with potential interested students, dealing with financial decisions and planning promotional trips to Italy. Thanks to the job, I learnt how to develop strategies to reach our target group, how to take decisions in a professional workplace and, most of all, how to manage and lead a team, by paying attention both to the task to deliver and the well-being of the team members.
