      Working front desk, reception is highly challenging on a daily basis. We are Human Services offering different forms of aid to Placer County residents. Many clients walk in our front door very agitated because of their personal circumstances. Others come to us depressed due to their circumstances. We must be prepared for any situation in helping our clients. I help the Spanish speaking clients, translating forms for them and assisting them in any way I can. It is our job to direct each client accordingly, depending oh their purpose in being here. I sign in to seven different software programs throughout each day to be able to help each client in the best manner possible. Customer service is our top priority. We do not want our clients waiting unnecessarily long. We keep our eye on the lobby and make certain each client is seen in a timely manner. It is also our job to fingerprint clients using the Statewide Fingerprint Imaging System and we issue and pin Electronic Benefit Transaction cards for clients to be able to access the benefits they are approved for. Another portion of our job is to check the California MEDS system to determine whether or not clients have health coverage. As this job deals with data all day, each day, which is highly confidential, we are all screened through Live Scan, before hire. Show less
