Caroline County Public Schools 2008-present Licensed School Social Worker • Conducted and wrote socio-cultural-assessment reports. Analyzed and interpreted data from the adaptive behavior survey to present at the eligibility meetings to determine whether the student meets the VDOE criteria for a disability. . • Trained individual special education teachers conducting a FBA/BIP. • Developed a standardized Crisis Intervention procedure for students in crisis situation that resulted in saving lives despite an increase in suicidal ideations over the last years. • Used community resources to organize Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas gifts for students and families in crisis over the last five years. Increased parental support. • Developed a written truancy procedure for Caroline County Middle School to be used at each parent meeting, documenting interventions and used for court petitions. Supported the Truancy Officer in extreme cases to utilize community services to provide interventions and home visits before court CHINS petition.
