• Senior Analyst

  a.Analyse medium to high impact financial statements, statistics and audit reports to ensure general compliance with the Pensions laws in adherence with the department’s Operating Management System. b.Prioritise medium to high impact and high risk funds and societies to ensure compliance with the Pensions Fund Act, Regulations, Directives, Circulars, and registered rules; c.Evaluate liquidation applications to ensure the fair and equitable treatment of members in terms of the legislation and the rules of the fund; d.Guide liquidators through the liquidations of funds in terms of legislation; e.Deal decisively with enquiries, queries, extensions, exemptions, etc. in terms of departmental deadlines and policies; f. Assist management with the financial supervision of the retirement funds industry, in general and other regulatory duties as assigned; g.Conduct Peer reviews of senior analysts and analysts ; h.As assigned, participate and assist in the Enforcement & Surveillance section of the Pensions department to plan, schedule and conduct the on-site visits and report on findings and recommend corrective actions as the need arises; i.Participate in team work and assist with projects as assigned within the set deadlines; and j.Prepare accurate and comprehensive annual reports for the Registrar for submission to parliament.
