I had the chance to work with Margaret very closely during her internship and can recommend that Margaret's personal drive and determination, and her hardworking stance made her a valuable asset to MRG. She consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic showing dedication to her work, interest to learn and personal growth. Considering her skills and abilities, I can confidently say that Margaret will be an asset to any organization that wishes to make use of her talent. Hence, I am pleased to provide her with my full endorsement and wish her all the best in her new endeavours and future plans.

Margaret and I worked together at the Galway Rape Crisis Centre in the summer of 2015. She is a passionate, detail-oriented individual with a drive to create innovative ideas and approaches to development as well as human rights issues. Knowing that Margaret would be at the Centre was always something to look forward to; not only because she is intelligent and engaging to work alongside but also because her energy and tireless enthusiasm was contagious. She not only handles her own work with comprehensive dedication, she pushes those around her to do the same. Her supervisors trusted her deeply with any task assigned, and gave her autonomy within that faith. Anyone who finds themselves in the fortunate position to hire or work with Margaret will find themselves consistently impressed with her level of contribution, teamwork and dedication to social justice.

Mar 2016 - Mar 2016
The Women’s Leadership Symposium is designed as a seminar for presentation of papers and ideas regarding gender equity and fairness in leadership opportunities in the social and economic structures of society. In my presentation, 'Beyond the Rape Minerals Narrative: Gender Performativity in the Democratic Republic of Congo' I explored the emerging narrative that looks at how ideas about masculinity and gender norms perpetrate the cycle of violence in Congo.
