  Margaret technically supports the engagement of the NDC Partnership work within the African region (more than 25 countries) to drive implementation of NDCs together with other processes like the NAPs, SDGs, DRR and green growth path ways. She is responsible for the following; • Increasing access to climate finance and technical assistance to Anglophone and Lusophone countries • NDC updating ensuring high quality and more ambitious • Country and regional research and context rapid situational assessment studies on climate change • Coordination and managing NDC partnerships members including International, regional and national Institutions • Building capacity for governments proposal development, and non-state partners to develop new fundable low carbon and resilience projects that are gender responsive • Mainstreaming climate change and gender in their national and sector development plans and budgeting processes • Aligning NDCs , SDGs and Sendai framework with national long term development agendas • Engagements with Finance Ministers in taking leadership in the climate change agenda • Aligning Carbon Markets platforms and NDCs and overall climate actions targets in countries • Coordination, reporting and organizing knowledge and learning convenings in Africa regionally and global • Participating and contributing to UNFCC Conference of Parties negotiations through the Africa Group of Negotiators (AGN) and African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) among others Show less
