      Collaboration with an European project lead by UNESCO Chair in life Cycle and Climate change (ESCI - UPF). The project name was Greentour, aimed to adjust the service and products offered by the different sectors used by tourism. Several stakeholders from Spain, Portugal and France working in the tourist industry participated to enrich the project.       Production of biomass-derived carbons (BCs) through pressurized slow pyrolysis under N2 and CO2 atmosphere. The main objective is to provide scientific evidence about the effect of pressure, peak temperature, material feedstock and atmosphere on the main physicochemical properties (and thus later possible applications) of the obtained BC. There is a contribution to GreenCarbon project, which is funded by the European Union in the framework of the H2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions. The research programme of GreenCarbon covers all aspects from precursors to processing and application of BC materials. Its motivation is to impact the way Europe uses and innovates with sustainable carbon materials, high-performance materials based on renewable resources simpler to synthesise and cost effective.
