  Working for NSR in China Raffles yard in Yantai since September 2014 as a Paint and Coating Inspector / Advisor. Projects: North Dragon, Beacon Atlantic, Beacon Pacific semi-submersible drilling oil rigs built in accordance with NORSOK and NPD standards. This was a practical hands-on role, involving mentoring / supporting shipyard coatings crews in all aspects as following; • Provide full support / advice / courses regarding proper paint application in case of manual application and spray application including proper WFT spray paint application. • How to recognized / avoid & repair various coating failures. • Explain the different surface preparation methods used for surface treatment of various metals. • Select & setting up the various equipment with reference to surface preparation, paint application. • Implement why ventilation/dehumidification is required in connection with application coatings and linings.
