I had great success leading and building the first major gifts program for Mount Sinai's Department of Medicine, the largest department in its eight-hospital system. In addition to effectively engaging and securing gifts from the DOM Advisory Board, I asked philanthropic individuals and institutions to support our world-renowned work in infectious diseases (including Mount Sinai's pioneering COVID-19 research and care); kidney disease; LGBTQ+ health; and diabetes, among many other key areas. Working with esteemed physicians, scientists, and executive leadership, I cultivated and solicited major donors and prospects with the capacity to give $100,000+ toward Mount Sinai's $2B Limitless Campaign. In addition, I worked closely with the Vice President for Development on leadership support for Mount Sinai's new Institute for Health Equity Research. This multi-disciplinary endeavor is dedicated to examining the causes and magnitude of health and health care disparities impacting nonwhite, low-income, immigrant, uninsured, LGBTQ+, and other populations across all ages, abilities, and genders.
