This is an instrument that’s specifically designed for producers of contemporary dance music, with the supplied Dance Vol 2 preset expansion pack containing 128 patches for use in trance, electro house and hard dance styles. Presets can be tweaked with a range of sound-shaping tools, and both the arpeggiator and trancegate are impressive. The Mix screen enables you to adjust individual layers - each patch can have up to four - and there are some good effects, too.

    • Spectrasonics Omnisphere Engineer
      • Jan 2016 - Present

Omnisphere is a hugely expansive synthesizer. Originally designed for pads, it has evolved to become a versatile playground of sound, landscapes, synthesis, and rhythms that can reflect hardware but also take you off to planets you’ve never explored before. The secret of its huge and powerful sound comes from the layering and mixing of sounds within the engine. Each patch can have 4 layers of sound made from over 500 DSP waveforms, filtered by 34 types, modulated by 8 LFOs and 12 envelopes. You can import your own audio and then have it pulled apart into individual grains and modulated to within an inch of its life. There’s a massive bank of 57 effects units to process and push your sounds into new zones, all of which can be modulated from the same synthesis engine. There are over 14,000 presets to play with. It has an “Orb” performance interface where you can set things in motion and spin it into sound morphing and discovery. Omnisphere also has a unique relationship to hardware synthesizers. A growing list of over 30 hardware synths now support a level of integration where Omnisphere becomes the synth engine of the hardware, taking every hardware control and mapping it to parameters inside that pull our hardware-specific elements of Omnisphere. It brings that familiar layout of your favorite synth into the inner workings of Omnisphere. Omnisphere is an extraordinarily powerful synthesizer. Show less

Virtual studio technology (VST) is a digital interface standard that is used to connect and integrate software audio effects, synthesizers and effect plugins with recording systems and audio editors. VST is basically a software emulation of hardware synthesizers, instruments and samplers, and often provides a custom user interface that mimics the original hardware down to knobs and switches. It provides recording engineers and musicians access to virtual versions of devices and equipment that might be otherwise too expensive or difficult to procure. Show less

A static bonding cable must be connected between bucket and the source ofsample container, pipe or valve as required. Take a sample at system operating pressure (except samples from a storagetank or transport trailer). Fuel in the drain or line should be removed ordisplaced before taking sample. Valve should be completely open withoutcausing spill. Fill bucket at least 15 cm of its depth. Place bucket on a level surface and allow it to stand for few minutes to settlesample to ensuring no air bubbles present. Visually inspect and observe the fuel sample to determine presence of freewater, particulates, unusual colour, haze, floating material and lacy substancelayers. Swirling of sample will cause dirt or water to collect at the centre of bucketfor easier examination. Drop a coin with well-defined features into the fuel sample bucket to assistvisual detection of haze. Fueled aircraft from fuel truck, When fueling from a fuel truck, precautions should be taken. If the truck is not in continuous service, all sumps should be drained before moving the truck, and the fuel should be visually inspected to be sure it is bright and clean. Turbine fuel should be allowed to settle for a few hours if the fuel truck tank has recently been filled or the truck has been jostled, such as when driven over a bumpy service road at the airport. Properly maneuver the fuel truck into position for refueling. The aircraft should be approached slowly. The truck should be parked parallel to the wings and in front of the fuselage if possible. Avoid backing toward the aircraft. Set the parking brake and chock the wheels. Connect a static bonding cable from the truck to the aircraft. This cable is typically stored on a reel mounted on the truck. There are other miscellaneous good practices that should be employed when refueling an aircraft. A ladder should be used if the refuel point is not accessible while standing on the ground. Show less
