      UNB01 CIVIL WORK CONTRACT NYRKIRKE - BARKAKERUNB is part of the InterCity initiative in Eastern Norway, involving construction of amodern railway with rapid travel times, frequent departures and high levels of reliability to provide a highly functional housing and labour market in the Eastern Norway area and boost the region surrounding the Vestfold Line.The Vestfold Line is part of the InterCity triangle (Skien–Lillehammer–Halden), where 90% of the passenger rail traffic in Norway operates. The 148 km long Vestfold Line is the railway section that runs from Drammen, through Vestfold, to Porsgrunn.According to the NTP in the 2018-2029 period, the completion of a continuous double tracked railway between Oslo and Tønsberg shall be finished by the end of 2024. The two remaining railway sections required to meet this goal, is Drammen – Kobbervikdalen and Nykirke – Barkåker. Upon completion, the railway section between Oslo and Tønsberg provide a travel time of approximately 1 hour, and a frequency of up to four trains an hour in either direction.The Nykirke-Barkåker site consists of a new double tracked railway with a train station adjacent to the urban area of Skoppum. The regulated area includes areas for the railway double track, including disposal of surplus rock and soil masses, with associated facilities for implementation and operation of the works.       COPENHAGEN CITYRINGEN METROThe Cityringen project will form a new circular line in the city centre and will consist of two 17.4km tunnels and 17 new stations (two of which are transfer stations) all at 30 metres below ground level. From a technical point of view the project is extremely complex, since the city is at sea level. Tunnel excavation is by TBM. A cut and cover service tunnel is also foreseen for the connection to the operation and maintenance centre. The fully automated driverless metro system will operate 24 hours a day, with a minimum frequency of 100 seconds, guaranteeing efficient mobility for 130 million metro passengers a year.
