  As Technical Manager, I am responsible for the management and operation of RedCLARA’s advanced global network, its relationships with regional and global network partners. My group includes planning and architecture team (NEG), an operations team (NOC), an IT Team (VSOG) and a Development group for services.Now in cooperation with GEANT (Europe ) we are deploying part of our 100G backbone, that will cover some terrestrial and submarine links called BELLA-T as well participating in the BELLA-S that is the deployment of a new submarine cable that will interconnect Fortaleza (Brazil) to Sines (Portugal).The 100G Backbone will deliver a new highway for the research and education institutions connected to RedCLARA’s backbone, allowing the academic sector to grow.
