System Engineering Internship

Mar 2014 - Nov 2014
System engineering of a CubeSat on an Earth-Mars Free-Return Trajectory to study radiation hazards in the future manned mission. This student nano satellite is a collaboration between the Observatory of Paris and the National Cheng Kung University. I was working as a System Engineer (performing the system and mission analysis, the risk assessment, the requirements specification, the system budgets...) and I was also supervising French & Taiwanese students (total = 26) working on the project from Taïwan. As part of this work, I organised work packages and meetings for the entire team, allowing me to understand how a space mission works at the project scale. We used AGILE principles as the baseline of our management and Concurrent Engineering methodologies. I was also responsible for the TT&C subsystem, doing feasibility studies for inter satellite data transmission. Show less
