At the ideas42 Venture Studio we build companies that solve massive social challenges. We do this by recruiting talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with direct, lived experiences in our focus areas, and we work directly alongside them for 18 months in an intense research, behavioral design, prototype, sell, deployment, and fundraising process. At the end of 18 months, we expect each of our entrepreneurs to have a product in-market making a difference in the world, with capital to continue to grow far beyond the Venture Studio. Show less

Member of our R&D leadership team responsible for defining and prioritizing all key product investments, including committed and vision roadmaps for our 200+ person R&D organization. My final major project at Oracle/Opower involved assembling and managing a cross-functional team to design, and bring to market our next generation cloud digital self-service product combining Opower's digital cloud experience and Oracle's on-premise Customer Information System.Prior to our acquisition by Oracle, I led a 55-person team, including our User Experience, Analytics, Product Localization, Knowledge Management, and Professional Services Product Management teams. As a product leader, I conceived of and brought to market multiple new product lines, including an integrated, multi-channel Rewards experience, which was our fastest growing product line in 2015. I also led a key cross-functional effort to make changes to our product that resulted in $13M per year savings in COGs and a corresponding 10% improvement in our Gross Margins. Completely redesigned our product localization process to ensure our products continued to elicit the target emotional reactions from customers across the globe from Japan -> Italy and beyond.
