As HR Coordinator, my main portfolio evolved into one mainly of health and safety as we were preparing for our WSIB Workwell Audit. I was responsible for the creation, implementation and support of the organization’s health and safety program, specifically; developing policies and procedures, orientation and training, empowering the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), facilitating all JHSC meetings and management meetings, managed Return to Work process with supervisors, writing monthly safety talks and newsletter pieces, leading investigations, incorporating employee feedback, collecting and analyzing all safety data and trends, managing all records of site safety, training, and employee information to ensure compliance. Previous to my health and safety responsibilities, I was involved in full cycle recruitment, group hiring projects for new store locations, mass orientations and training sessions, back up payroll functions and group benefits, coaching management on work place conflicts as well as giving input on investigations and HR projects. Key Achievement: I launched the Health and Safety program which lead to an increase in safety reporting and a significant decrease in lost time injuries. I successfully lead the organization to achieve an 87% completion rate in the WSIB Workwell Audit
