As an English as a Second Language tutor, I was able to assist international students from various countries, cultures, and backgrounds with understanding and applying the English language in their academic and daily lives. To achieve these goals, I helped students with grammar, reading comprehension, and speaking skills by helping the students with their assignments and listening to their presentations and giving feedback. As a tutor for the Academic Success and Career Center (ASCC), I was able to work with students who needed assistance with the required history courses at Washington State University. The sessions involved reading drafts of essays and short assignments given in class while offering feedback to ensure the student`s success in understanding the content of the class and being able to include all aspects of academic writing within their essays.
