  As a health psychologist and brief intervention specialist the role was to provide evidence based psychotherapeutic support to individuals presenting to GPs with moderate to severe psychological distress. Duties involve assessment and treatment of clients, either in group or individual setting, within a prescribed number of available sessions (usually between 4 and 6). In this capacity I also provided clinical supervision to other psychologists and an intern health psychology student.
