My responsibilities include teaching Introduction to Engineering Design to Lynchburg area Governor's School high school students who are interested in pursuing engineering as a higher education goal. Students dig deep into the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to hands-on projects. They work both individually and in teams to design solutions to a variety of problems using 3D modeling software, and use an engineering notebook to document their work. Students engage in open-ended problem solving, learn and apply the engineering design process, and use the same industry-leading technology and software as are used in the world’s top companies.
