I was the Copy Editor for The Chaparral in 2022, which taught me leadership and collaboration. Articles written by Staff Reporters were sent to me first to oversee and fix mistakes, following the AP handbook.

I was a staff reporter who produced articles for The Chaparral while battling a pandemic, which taught me not only to be ethical but to be cautious and has made me innovative with Zoom meetings and online publishing.

I was the Social Media Editor and then promoted to Social Media Manager at The Chaparral, in which my job was to promote our stories for our students to read and engage and know what is happening in our student, college, and community life.
