      I have years of sales and marketing experience in the wholesale food industry and industrial industry. As the Territory Sales Manager for General Mills Inc. in Northern Ontario, I managed the large geographical territory from North Bay westward through Sudbury to Sault Ste. Marie, and northward to Timmins and the Tri-Towns area. I developed a diverse customer base and worked closely with retailers to promote General Mills products and ensure prompt, reliable supplier services. In addition to introducing new items and educating retailers on product specifications, I implemented corporate sales promotions and advised on display, marketing, and inventory management strategies. Consistent with General Mills’ philosophy of community involvement as a responsible corporate citizen, I participated in local fundraising efforts by donating product and promotional items. I also managed an annual sales budget and provided a variety of activity and statistical reports for the territory. As well, I worked for Acklands Grainger from 1985 to 1990 as a warehouse supervisor and then inside/outside salesperson. These duties included providing products required in the mining, construction, and pulp and paper industries. My career has provided valuable training in product introduction, account management, and customer service. My time management and organizational skills are particularly well developed, and I am accustomed to meeting deadlines and managing priorities within a highly demanding and fast-paced environment.
