The Food Standards Agency is the Government agency responsible for protecting public health in relation to food in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.I managed and commissioned feasibility projects testing the viability of government policy. This included leading the review of the government’s cross-contamination policy, and its subsequent implementation. I also managed the local authority food enforcement officer training contract (reducing costs by 18%), and was a key representative on national industry and enforcement working groups – helping to kick start the keenly anticipated caterers guide to good hygiene practice.
