Group Area Manager
-
Mar 2000 - Feb 2002
Reporting to Director & General manager. Upon the agreed sales of 998 outlets to Nomura from Bass Leisure Retail, I was the direct line manager for varoius sized groups in the Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire & Dorset. The key objectives were to improve the sales trend, control the right costs, ensure continuous trading, protect the sale process and ensure structured day to day business plans were implemented in all outlets. The Voyager business plan was to convert the outlets to the lease market or identify alternative use over the next 18 months. I found the role to be a challenging one as the environment is focused differently to that of a major structured retailer. At one point this resulted in me managing six different de -branded units within a district of thirty units. Show less
