While developing a new technology starting from scratch, the distance between technical promise and genuine achievement is always an important concern. Lithium Battery Research Engineer

The Nanomaterial Energy System Department is an interdisciplinary research group with the mission to advance the state of the knowledge at the boundary of science and engineering. The researchers pursue fundamental research in the field of advanced materials synthesis, energy recovery and transport at micro/nano-scale. Specials interests:▪ Develop novel catalysts for carbon dioxide reduction and battery applications▪ Design artificial leaves for energy applications▪ Design new innovative energy storage systemsDuring my research, I was responsible of the testing and validation of a new Lithium-air battery in real environment conditions. My primarly objectives have been to improve the life and the efficiency of the system. Together with my team, we improved of 33% the first charge/discharge cycles system efficiency and we increased its cycle-life largely beating our 500 cycles target. This experience brought us to a publication on Nature Journal and a patent.
