In this capacity, I manage the end-to-end billing process, from onboarding new accounts to calculating fees and submitting them to the relevant custodian. My focus on operational excellence is reflected in my successful migration of billing to a new system without any interruptions to the advisors. I also supervise the development and implementation of procedures that ensure timely and accurate billing of advisory accounts, and I lead the investigation and resolution of any billing discrepancies and errors. I also created a digital repository to help future competitors get an edge in the preparation stages of their competitive events. Often consuming more than 20 hours a week, my work for Alpha Lambda Alpha has left a lasting impression on both the organization, and on me. As a board member, I was responsible for basic organization functions such as event planning, public speaking, and overall representing the College as an Honors-Level Student. In addition to these general responsibilities I was appointed positions in many Projects and Programs, many of which I led. Two examples of Projects that I led, whose final submissions can be found under the Education section here, were the Honors and Action Project and the College Project. Without diving too deep into either project, my position in both required me to conduct extensive research, led a team of five to ten students, and plan an event or presentation to display our findings. While both projects did not win first place on the International Level, we did however place top 25 in both out of over 12,000. In addition to their high placement, both projects were taken into consideration by Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters in creating a new grading rubric for next year's projects. • Led and managed members of Alpha Lambda Alpha and worked closely with the College Administration to develop, write, and execute a project focused around new student retention that resulted in an increase in First-Time-In-College student retention by 8% through improvements in advisory communications and consulting • The College Project was awarded Best College Project Award at the Phi Theta Kappa Florida Regional Convention, and earned top 25 at the international level at the 2016 Phi Theta Kappa International Convention Show less
