- Drafting of the report « Les quartiers pauvres ont un avenir » (October 2020). In English: « Poor neighbourhoods have a future ». - Over the last 40 years, successive French governments have almost all implemented "plans banlieues", focusing on poor neighbourhoods. Almost all of them have approached this subject exclusively from a social angle or from the perspective of housing renovation. However, the economic angle is absent from the reflections: how to bring activity to these areas, how to train their inhabitants, how to develop wealth? In this context, the report carries out an unprecedented statistical work and a reflection on the economic dynamics of poor neighbourhoods, based on 300 statistical tables, 40 maps and 35 individual interviews, in order to understand the economic stakes of these neighbourhoods, to fight against preconceived ideas and to propose useful lines of action for public debate. There is hope for poor neighbourhoods as this report proposes to stimulate a new dynamic for urban policy, without focusing on urban renewal and without envisaging a consequent increase in public spending. - For more information: https://www.institutmontaigne.org/publications/les-quartiers-pauvres-ont-un-avenir

In English: « A new strategy for France in a new arab world ». - This report on French policy in the Middle East and North Africa provides data analysis – demographic, commercial, financial, cultural, and security flows, present and past – to determine France’s interests in the region, both today and tomorrow, and to structure a future-oriented policy. Based on an original aggregative method of scattered data, this report provides new tools to better understand the multiple relationships between France, the Middle East and North Africa. The French strategy, understood in the long-term, is compared to that of competing countries.
