  Responsible for managing and providing software and hardware maintenance on a local area network/wide area network with MS Windows 2003/2008 R2 servers with Exchange 2007 email servers and clients. Manage and supervise the IT staff that provides daily support for over 360 users at 5 area locations across the county utilizing MS Windows XP and Windows 7 client operating systems. Monitor Networks for bandwidth and disk utilization issues, monitor daily backup jobs and logs for problems/issues and work with various MS SQL Server 2008 and MS Access databases used for Police department inventory, evidence, and computer hardware inventory systems. Assist with police investigations involving issues with computer crimes and abuse. Use of various built-in OS and third party utilities to monitor systems for internal and external usage statistics and avoidance of potential problems. Work with user and Exchange email maintenance and problems issues using Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange utilities. Manage, plan and implement Information Technology Budgeting processes for Software and Hardware Product Evaluation, Communication systems, Testing, and Implementation, and Client/Server setup and upgrade of Public Safety systems for Records Management, Jail Management, and Computer Aided Dispatch/911 systems on Windows 2008 R2 server operating systems network.
